Channeling a Portrait of Archangel Metatron: A Spirit Painting

This painting was channeled a few months ago and has been ever-so-patiently waiting to be unveiled to the world. The experience of channeling this portrait marked for me a new way of painting and, more importantly, an increased level of trust in Source and in myself, as the Divine paintbrush.

I was in the process of beginning a painting for one of my dearest friends, and as the first layers on Dani’s painting were drying, I felt compelled to begin another piece. I called in my guides to channel something for the collective, and was called to choose three primary colors and a sparkly pink. I laughed aloud at how preposterous this palette appeared, hoping it wouldn’t just morph into a murky shade of brown.

As I moved along, I realized that what I feared was exactly what was happening. I’d popped out of flow, gotten in the way and flooded the cotton rag with far too much water. The blue, red and yellow had become one, brown , murky mess. Brush still in my right hand, I heard myself saying, “oh dear. oh no. no, no, no,” as I placed my left hand on the paper and smeared, both physically and metaphorically wiping it all away. Without a glance down, I headed around to the sink to wash my hands and brush.

Drying my hands, I wander back over to the painting I (thought I) had just ruined, and was positively struck by what I beheld. The painting that was, just moments ago, merely a brown puddle, was forming into shape. Not only that, it was no longer brown, but more corals and pinks. Like colors of a new dawn. The last painting in the gallery above shows what Spirit channeled, prior to us working in any of the detail.

You can clearly see his wings and all facial features, the beautiful rose shape atop his head, from which Light flows. And the intricacies of the inner workings of his head! I see this as the Heart and Mind working in unison.

Through this painting, I learned to trust even more deeply in the Divine work we are doing. When things don’t seem to look or go as we expect, drop the expectations and open to the gift of what Is. Thank you, Beloved Divine. Aho!
