Transformation: The Birth of Passion and Awakening of Courage

The first painting created, calling in a communication for my Self journey (rather than for others) since completing my shamanic apprenticeship, this piece was channeled over a period of a few weeks. We began about one week prior to my life-altering experiences in Cherokee, NC. The morning left Buffalo for Asheville, I could see the freshly born, still gooey dragon being birthed from the Great Cosmic Womb, but the rest of the painting was still indiscernible shadow and light.

Upon arriving home from my experience south, I saw immediately the medicine woman, both holding and one with Bear, and the yawning Lion directly behind, facing her. As I painted these new beings in, Spirit reminded me that Bear is connected to the shamanic tradition and women in both North American and Siberian societies. What a beautiful gift and honor for Spirit to communicate this to me, just months after completing my apprenticeship and becoming practitioner!

As I painted, Frog emerged, still donning his tadpole swim fins, showing I am in the process of transformation. Reading all of these beings together, I understand the communication to be that my passion is being born, rooted in my lineage and shamanic practice, awakening my courage (yawning lion) and facilitating, yet at one with, my transformation.

I see also, in the lower right corner, a being touched by Spirit on his crown, then the being is shown bending down to look into the abyss of new knowledge, waiting to be accessed. Ahhh, what a glorious journey this is, guided by our Cosmic Beloved!
